Keynote: Defining Rich | Jeff Tapper, Digital Primates
The term "rich" has numerous definitions and is highly subjective when the
topic is user interface design. In this talk we'll take a look back through
time to reflect on the history of user experience, explore how web
developers currently define "rich", and postulate about how users might
interact with rich experiences in the near future. Along the way we'll get
a visual demonstration of why experience matters, and take a closer look at
its impact on business competition.
Introduction to Flex | Axel Jensen, CF Webtools
In this session you'll learn the key components to developing in Adobe
Flex. Topics covered include the Flex Builder IDE, and the Action
Script and MXML languages. We'll cover what steps are necessary to get
started, and even step through some code to build a simple Flex
application. We'll wrap up with a demo of some cutting edge
applications Axel has written in Flex.
Introduction to AIR | Dustin Tauer, Easel Training
Adobe® AIR™ is a cross-operating system runtime that allows developers to use their existing web development skills to build and deploy rich Internet applications to the desktop. This session will demonstrate how to build two different types of Air applications. The first will be a Flash-based application built using Adobe Flex Builder 3, the second will be a HTML/JavaScript-based Air application built with Adobe Dreamweaver CS3.
Flex and Flash CS3 | Dustin Tauer, Easel Training
This session will demonstrate how to combine the strengths of the Stage,
timeline, and library in Flash CS3 Professional with Flex Builder 3 and
ActionScript 3.0.
Building Collaborative Flex Applications | Jeff Tapper, Digital Primates

conferencing is becoming more commonplace every day. In this session learn
to leverage various real-time/collaborative tools within your Flex
application. Build a chat application using BlazeDS, maintain data
synchronization with LiveCycle Data Services ES, and explore hosted
collaborative services with the Cocomo.
Real-world Flex Applications
During this session, speakers from the event will be showing real-world examples of Flex applications. This session will also be open for any questions that attendees may have for our speakers.
